I was looking through some sled catalogs and wodered if anyone has put curved bar ends on their sled and put a new long grip on that covers the whole curved end with no seams. They say in the catalog that it won't work with Yamahas. Is there a way to put different heaters on to make it work?

I think PowerValve700 put some firecat grips on his viper. They look good and work id check out his sled it can be done.
I found a pic of his set up check it out.

My brother has bar hooks on his Pro-X and while they give a sled a "racer" look, I didnt think that they helped at all with leverage or added ability to lean farther in the turns.

I feel the opposite about the hook on my bar, I only see the need for one clutch side. Can't really use the other side and give it throttle at the same time. I love the hook on my sled!

To each his own

Agreed, after riding a sled with hooked bars I added a hook on my RX. I just put one on the clutch side because (Like Topgunn said) you can't really use one on the throttle side.

They help alot in aggressive situations.

Thanks TG for posting the pic. I used a set of handwarmers that wrap around bars. I couldn't find any hooks that were the same OD as the bars so I filed down a set of Sportech hooks. I also cut about 3/4" off each end of the bars because they felt a bit too wide.

I may look into a lefty throttle, I think it would be really good for the way I ride. ;)!

You can use a wrap around heater like pictured above and the slp has a kit with grip and hook to make it one piece.each kit does one side and is $22 so for $44 you can do both sides.the hand warmer part is $30 for pair.

Or if you already have some bar hooks you can get the grips for $20 a pair and slide them over your hooks. But you will still need the hand warmers also.I have a set of used hooks for $10 if you wanted to just get the grips and warmers.then you would only have $60 into everything.

Heres a pic of the slp kit
