Hey i saw those drop brackets that some guys (cant remember names) where working on... are you still distributing them? i would like to get em for my sled, cuz then i could get a 1.5 track on it... could someone show me some before and after pics of there sleds when stock and then with the brackets on

That would be Maxdlx (Paul) and 2000SRX. Both great guys and I'm sure they will be glad to help you out when they see your post.

For now do a search on drop brackets or find one of there post and click on there name and then click on "view more post by ........"

This whole dropping the ream mount thing really seems questionable to me.

Does anybody have any real experience running a sled like this?

I do. Dropped the stock Yamaha suspension out of a 97 MM so the rear mounting bolt was 2" below the running board heat exchanger. Really compromised the handling. No more high speed corners. Theory is that is reduces the running board hang up. Still got stuck as much as I ever did. Lifting the tail high enough for the track to clear the stuck hole became more of an issue. But it looked absolutley great.

man i would love to see my sx sit up there tho i mean my sleds fine and all but it just looks sad sittin next to the newer sleds haha

Yea Max no matter what people say you have the most aggresive looking viper out there in my honest oppinion... im askin for the drop brackets for christmas... gotta convince my dad to get em for me tho... is there gonna be a christmas special on the brackets???

That you would have to ask Bruce or Matt. I don't market them, just promote them. LOL Maxdlx

it's not as easy as just installing the brackets in the rear.
You have to drop your center as well and there are no brackets for that.
Measure and drill new holes.

Help me guys ! I added the longer struts from a 1994 600 to my 540 and was thinking of dropping the rear of rear suspension mount 2 1/2" to offset the front by using Exciter brackets that place the rear or rear holes under the running board instead of a hole through the tunnel. Would I have to move the mount hole forward and drop the carrier shaft ? Could I leave the front mounting hole in the stock position and what effect would this have on hyfax wear, transfer ect... ? Thanks for any help ! Chuck PS. I got one reply on Snowest saying this would screw up the rear suspension geometry.....I don't see how basically raising the rear of the tunnel can change the suspension ? I can see it changing the handling ?

If you think it will work, then try it and let us know

As long as you keep the holes exactly the same distance apart, anmd drop the center mount about 1/2 of what you drop the rear, it won't hurt the geometry. You can dial the handling back in with suspension adjustments. Maxdlx
