Throttle Cable

My throttle cable snapped on my v-max, im not sure if i have to replace the whole thing or just a part of it because it looks like just down a couple of inches from the throttle on the cable it screws apart ? can someone help me out ?

You need to replace the whole thing.Thats the adjuster that you are seeing.I have used and new ones.
