Yea...you have to love that extra 30hp your packing. I piped my 02' with CPR's and it ran like hell until it popped the mag-side piston. I went back stock...sold the pipes and regreted it. I just piped my 04' and I'm still waiting for my Bender head gasket to arrive so I can take it for its maiden flight in the 14" or so thats on the ground here. Its torture looking at it snowing like a m/f outside.

yamaracer18, all I can say is be sure you run good fuel and I highly suggest EGT's. Two seasons ago I ran the CPR's on mine without any EGT's and I popped the mag and center and took both the jugs. It was the worst one I ever experienced. If I would have had EGT's ,it would have never happened. It was on a long WOT run, so I would have had ample time to notice the Exhaust temps going too high. I was going on a trip in 7 days, so I did the same as Vipertom and put it back stock and sold the pipes. The top end with the pipes is quite impressive, but in the twisties I like the stock setup better. Guess I'm getting old. Have Fun and ride safe!!!!

Same scenerio with me...WOT on a long run. If you don't run EGT's keep your Pulls under 1/2-3/4 mile. I've seen used Avenger III packs with probes go for around $4-500 or so.

yamaracer18, go to www.hiperf.com They have a few different choices of EGT's. I would get something that shows all three cylinders at once. You can program the threshold just below the burndown point ( which is around 1400 deg. F) and the screen will flash to warn you to back off. The costs of the EGT's will be much less than a smoked engine and a ruined trip. Good Luck!!

sounds good, just went out tonight for about a 60 mile ride on tug hill wit my buddy he got a f7 wit some clutch work and studs that i know of suposidly he sent it to d and d to get worked on but i dont know, i smoked him said he wasent hookin up but i dont belive it i thnk he was ashamed to admit a yami beat him, also i runnin stock clutch weights anysugestion on what i should do with them make heavier or somethin to get more power outa the motor??????????
