Just wondering what kind of Yamaha 2-stroke it would take to win in the 1/8 mile? 1/4 mile? radar run?
My buddy has a 06 Mach with 1.25" ripsaw, will my little piped Viper be able to keep up? What about a BB piped Viper? BB SRX?

I rode my friends 05 mach and i wasnt impressed. It did pull hard but not as hard as i expected. My 98 mach z with dynoport pipes, reeds, head and shim kit pulled way harder. It seemed to have good top end,i was wide open on my stock viper at an indicated 119 mph and he passed me pretty easily.I liked my viper way better in the trails though.

in snogoer, she almost pegs out ther engine meter, so Im sure it is a sled to be reckoned with. Hopefully, the SRX's with abit of work, nothign major will be able to stay with em, a well tuned one anyhow. I guess we will see this winter eh?

I kind of doubt a piped Viper would handle a decent running new Mach, but a Big Bore piped Viper....hmmmm...could be interesting.
A piped Viper in a short distance 800' or so may be close to a new Mach, but after that look out. Last year at the radar runs the stock Machs were only average at best in the 1000' mark, but after that nothing will touch them. After 95-105 they are a pure beast. I have seen them thump firecats with the F-8 kits.

the mach1000 dynoed at 174hp on snogoers test, so it cant be no slouch

I think snogoer is full of it, that said, the new mach ought to be a fast sled

I have a dyno curve for the new mach, but can't post it up as part of an agreement I signed, anyone who wants it, PM me with an email address.

I spent about 150 miles on one in the U.P. last winter. It rides and handles very well. It’s got a lot of balls and goes like hell. I ran it once against my 02 SRX and I took him out of the hole and about 500 feet, after that he was pissed and shut down. I am not saying my SRX is faster than the 1000, but at that particular moment in the conditions we were in, The Devil in the Blue Dress was faster. One more thing, He did not have the updates done yet. I don’t know if it would make a difference but the updates covered the secondary clutch bolts coming out, the fuel pump, the fuel pump pick up, and the fuel delivery programming. He told his dealer that he could not believe a little SRX 700 beat him!!!!

I drove my cousins sown Lake Francis and I thought an 800 was fast!!! Maddog is right, after 85 90 this thing is an animal...Let me tell you, no other stock machine is even close. An Srx 700!! Forget it. Firecat....yah right. EVen a ZR 900 will get eaten in a long pull. I will give it props...Endless HP and how could someone not be impressed with that.

The MACH Z is "why" they make turbos for RX-1's.
Problem is... they now make a turbo for the MACH Z. Oh ya..... they're still 2 strokes and will most likely explode after one or two runs if blown.

I bet I'd give the stock 1000 Mach a run for it's money, it'd probably still get me up top, but I think I'd hang with it for longer than 500'-660'. The ole Vmax 4's are still a force to be reckoned with when they're set up. 150 hp stock, + clutching, jetting, quad pipes. Never had the sled dynoed but it's got to be pretty close to the hp of the 1000 Mach.

yah with proper JEtting and cltuching i should be able to take it!
PSI quad piped Vmax4 800 will give you 172+ hp. Enough to go I´d say! And those are safe HP if jetted to specs. Guys at vmax4.com have run that setup for years and years. No SRX 700 is close, and even Thundercats have to walk on their toes with those Vmax4´s.
Still, a Mach Z 1000 with a good setup is tough competition.

that 900 stroker from Hauck is dissappointing to say the least, a lot of false claims.

GUYS, I RAN INTO THREE LAST YEAR ON THE ICE. ONE WAS VERY FAST ON NOS. THE OTHER TWO WERE PITIFUL SLOW. WE WERE RUNNING 1000 F.T. ON ICE, I HAD MY 2000 SRX THATS A WELL SET-UP STOCKER AND MY 96 VMAX 4 800 QUAD PIPES, SHIM KIT, SPEED TRACK, etc. I HONESTLY DESTROYED THEM WITH MY SRX LET ALONE MY 800. I MEAN WALKED THEM. EVEN THE ONE ON NOS HANDLED ME BUT WOULD OF BEEN SLAUGHTERED BY TURBO YAMAHA. THE OLDER MACH,s ARE WAY FASTER. side note: i have heard that set-up is very inportant here with these mach,s. so whats that tell ya, could be way defferent in the right hands. ! 3:16 (tony)
