hey nos man-i guess heat is a bad idea then?also if you guys put a little air pressure on yourgas tank vent line-not to much- it will push the fuel through and eliminate hard starts!i usually do it with the throttle pinned to bring the needle all the way up and fully open the main jet to get a little fuel it.

another trick is to have a halogen heat lamp dangling above the engine in your shed or garage.Hook up a remote power box.I just push the on button from the house, which in turn switches power on to the receptacle in the shed.Do this a few hours before going out to start it.Engine and components will be warm and easy to start.Just another thing I used to do.When I used to have my SXR600 outside all winter and go to start at -35 windchill days, motor would hardly turn by pullstart.Put halogen lamp there for an hour, and bang a few pulls(easier now) and she fired up.
