Hi all,
I'd like to replace my 121 x 15 x 1 inch Camoplast cone design track with a 121 x 15 x ? Ripsaw track. What lug height can fit without hitting the heat exchangers? I want 1.5 inch, but is that too much? If so, I don't want to spend all my money going from a 1 inch lug to a 1.25 lug, I don't think .25 inch will make that much of a difference.

Thanks...
Roger.

the 1.25" is a huge difference over a 1". a 1.5" will fit if you dont have any heat exchanger of tunnel protectors. if your trail riding, a 1.25" ripsaw will really wake it up!

even if u can only get 1.25" ripsaw to fit still go for it
it is WAY better then that 1" cone
but i say u could get a 1.5" to fit no problem

1.25 with protectors in will fit, 1.5 without protectors, both work with 9 tooth drivers if you aren't studding.

Thanks everyone, ...seems that a 1.25 inch ripsaw is the best track for combination riding (deep snow and trail riding). I'll hopefully pick one up within the next year.

I just installed a 1.5 Ripsaw on my 97 VMAX 600 with the 9 tooth drivers. It does fit but it is tight. If I were to do it again I would probably drop a tooth to get a little more clearence. I have about 1/4 - 3/8" clearence right now.

It is definetly worth it though, and if you are going to do it go with the 1.5 instead of the 1.25.
