I got my viper out and it has a lean bog to it right from the get go then runs awesome. I dropped my needles one washer (half a clip), would this create a bog??
 
no, most likely you need to turn the fuel screws out to about 1.5 to 1.75 turns out.
Why would you want to lean the needles out more in a viper ???
When you first hit the gas you are on the pilot jet circuit.
 
check your air jets and pilots.Like mrviper said it's probaly the pilot jet circuit.Take them out and clean them.
 
Put the needles back to stock position. 1/2 drop makes a huge diff on the Yammie flatslides. They are fine in the mid for jetting. I concur with a plugged pilot.

I had a similiar problem recently with my srx and found it was the throttle sensing control. I ended up by passing it and it was fine.
 
Thanks guys, I put needles back to stock and it took the bog out, but still seems blahh, I am going to pull the carbs tonight and clean them and will let you know how that turns out.
