i just fired up my sled in the garage to check something. that stink and smoke really dont appeal like it used to. in my old age its starting to give me a headache too. looks like im going to have to get an apex or attak next year!

:yrules:

2-3 more years for me then its a 4 stroke WITH fuel injection. Can't get easier maintance then that! No more smoke, carb cleaning/adjusting, etc. A simple 4 stroke with a 40-60hp shot of nitrous to keep in front on the lakes and I'll be in heaven, love my viper though so shes plenty worthy for a few more years!

old age? :) i'll trade you acouple years .it is nice just hitting the key though.took the attak across the lawn today and it was fun.i got stuff in the garage though.those new carbides dig into the floor.left some nice burn out's.

your attak must be brutal off the line. 1.5" ripsaw, 8 tooth drivers and all that torque! i cant wait to see it in action. :yrules:

I am in on the 4 stroke but not until the vector is fuel injected, My truck, car, and garden tractor is fuel injected no more messing with chokes for me.
Yamaha marketing are you listening?????????????

Oyeesss

Just got back from a 50 mile ride on my apex....WOW what pull this dog has! I have had vmax4, srx, viper now and this 4 stroke is a killer! You can't go wrong! :bling: I had been very happy with my viper so i was a little shy about getting a 4 stroke. :WayCool: Hands down the best handling, best riding, best throttle pull i have ever seen :die: You will enjoy...

how does it corner compared to the viper?

Yep ,appex rtx for me next year and the ole trusty viper is going to my wife. The only four stroke i ever rode was a 04 rx1,the engine and drivetrain were very smooth but i just didnt like how it handled.Hopefully the new appex is better handling.

dave.yep i got a room.i will ride any where you want.let me know what time you can be here.i sent your rivets out also on sat.
im just waiting on a call to see when i start work. i sure dont think they would have me start this week, but ill find out for sure by mon or tue. if all is good i can show up at your place whenever your ready. i still need a couple things for the viper, so it should be ready for some off trail action. if all else fails, ill bring the pro x. its light and has a ripsaw, so it shouldnt be too bad. ill give you a call as soon as i find out about work, but plan on me going! :yrules:

i will be on a four banger next year as well.... i was a naysayer of the 4strokes until i bought wife a vector er last year.... and with the improved chassis and efi... wow that attak in my garage next year will be the envy of my riding buddies who cant keep up, smell llike smoke, and are spending all that cash on that synthetic cat and doo lube....
