Viper w/cpr pipes & head 8dn-10 clutching?

(counting from top this is right isn't it?)
8dn-10 (has 2 rivets?) y-w-y
50/40' green spring 70' twist
136x1-1/2 19/38 gears 9-tooth = @ 2.00 ratio

rode it from dead stop pulls @ 8200-8400 feels sluggish very slow to 9000
rolling @ 20mph goes to 9100 pulls to 9300 feels alot stronger
any suggestion what to do?
 

your close it sounds like. maybe upshifting too fast with that shallow finish angle from a dead stop. maybe up the twist and try it. or go to alittle taller start angle and finish angle on the helix. 51-43 53-43 53-45 ect... those pipes want 9100 correct? you are close on the primary weight with the rpms you are giving us, just a little fine tuning is all she needs from the sounds. tune the rpms with the primary (weight and spring combos) and tune your upshift and backshift with the secondary. live by that one simple rule and clutching is alot easier to deal with.ski
