What effect does gearing have on the speedometer reading? - if you gear down, does it effect it?
nope not really, only changeing drivers really makes a huge difference. Maxdlx

Speedometer is hooked up to driveshaft which is located after the gear change in the drivetrain, therefore the speedo is not effected. If the speedo were hooked up to the jackshaft or somewhere else before the chaincase, then gearing would effect the speedo output. If that makes any sense.
