Looking at putting 8dn 20 weights in single pipe Viper and need setup information. I have heard of the rivet placement but want to be sure of size. 3.6 or 4.5 in both holes? Would like to hear from guys using this as to helix angle & spring selection. Thanks!
I had to use 4.5 in both with the 8Dn20's. I used a 53/43 and green spring, and a Y-W-Y primary. It pulls 8500 and stays there all day.

if they are stock and the rivet are already in them, just run them the way they are, then you can make an adjustment after testing. the stock configuration from the 00-02 srx work well in the stock and piped vipers. some are stronger and some are weaker than others so final tuning is required. ski

What is a w-w-w spring rate,is it stiffer than a y-w-y?

Can the 8dn-20 weights be used with the stock viper helix?

the w-w-w is actually not as stiff as the y-w-y, they have the same preload but the y-w-y has more rate. And yes you can use the 47 degree helix if you wanted to, but you could make a multi angle work better.
