What should I do?

Im stuck!

I have a chance in getting a sled for free but I would have to sell my sled first. What would you guys do? I have the chance in getting a 98 VMAX 500 XTC with 1000 miles on it. But I would have to give up my 96 600 XT. I love the power but the other one is just sooooo light and quick. Whatcha think I should do?
 
i had a 97 500 with a few motor mods it could run rith if not beat a stock 600 twin and kept up with te 600 tripples.

if i were u id go for it cause it ahs better suspention and a real reliable motor that u can do a ton to befor u could blow it. u had one gasket and 25 thousands shaved off my head. and if u get te clutch set up right i think it would be a quick little buger. my 500 beat a 600 rev in 1000 feet
 
Well the 96 have 4000 miles and nothing really done to it besides, studs, low pro windsheild, and different snow flap. And the 98 doesnt have anything done to it, it was my mothers so I know it wasnt beat. But I cant get the fact that its a 500 out of my head!
 
if it was me id go with the 98 cause ur Hp to weight ratio bet is higher. my buddy has a 96 500 and it was a tank road nice but was so heavy when we got stuck. it maybe a 500 buy if im not mistaken its a square motor bore=stroke and it has more torque ofr CC then a none square motor . i maybe wrong but my buddy was goin threw his older sled mags and thast what he told me after he read it.
 
I had a 94 600 and the best thing I ever did to that sled was sell it lol. I thought it was the greatest thing..until I rode the PA chassis...which I thought was the greatest until I rode an Apex. Time to update my freind.......

Maybe if it ran stonger you wouldn't want to sell it.LOL?! A few mod's will really make it scream.
Hope this pic comes thru ok. It's the only pic I have with me at work right know with me pulling the ski's 10 inches in the air.

I would go with the 98. In my opinion it has a better suspension set up.
They are easy to work on and parts are easily found.
There are a few mods you can do to that 500 and make it run harder then stock. It is your mothers so you know it has not been abused...go for it.
 
i woulg go with the 98 i have a 99 600 and love it put reed spacers in it what a diferince had a 94 600 befor and this is lots faster so the 500 should be just as fast as your 96 :yrules:
