SledderSteve VIP Member Joined May 9, 2003 Messages 208 Age 66 Location Mukwonago, WI Feb 18, 2004 #2 It's too simple 1. Loosen the locknut on the adjuster bolt. 2. Turn the adjuster bolt clockwise until it's finger tight. 3. Hold the adjuster bolt in place then tighten the locknut.

Chain breakage is most often caused by a sharp, sudden load. The spring tensioner works to even out the load and make it more constant.
