My initial response - man is this a different sled then my MM600 141. I dont know what i was expecting exactly but they ride totally different. At the end of the day i was really starting to like it and felt pretty good on it. Way more plush of a ride, it soaks the bumps up like they arent there.
The viper gets on its side SO easily compared to the MM, i barely have to lean any weight on it to carve it in the pow. In fact i have to try not to pull it over too hard and dump it on its side. On the MM i had to pull it waaay harder to get it to lean this way. It feels like it has a higher center of gravity. It is a good bit more tippy on the trails, but i can deal with that since i only ride trails until i get to the good stuff.
It has a much heavier feel to the steering and was almost a handful with its darting. I am sure these are just things that i need to adjust til i get it right. Any suggestions on what to adjust for this?
I got it up to about 85mph tops at around 8600rpm on the trail. Stock jetting running at 7000-9000ft. Does that sound right? How fast do stock mtn vipers usually go? Mind you the sled only has 50 miles on it now. My buddy on his 98 MM700 pretty much smoked me. I got him off the line but then he was gone.
Any ideas on what to change/tweak are welcome. Sorry for the long post.
