as the title says its stuck. i cant even get it to budge at all. i have every thing off and the set screws, and it wont move at all. any one have any advice or experience with this? any help would be greatly appreciated since im elbows deep in grease right now

gear puller/bearing puller
I had to force mine off with a puller, after thought, i would have drilled the rivets out, and pulled the bearing holder and shaft out, and did it on the work bench. Maxdlx
definatly drill those rivits and take the drive shaft from the sled. once i did that i took it to my farm where i just happen to have a 55 ton hydrolic press. that made quick work of the job
torch it! thats what i had to do. It was the only way!

well i finally got it off. after snapping a bering puller on it(any one in canada dont buy one at canadian tire) i took the rivits out and got it on to the bench. then it took two people to hold the puller(this time a much larger one) and turn the handle to finally get that thing off. definatly not my idea of fun.

clean that shaft up really well with emery cloth before installing the new bearing, and also put on a light coating of either grease or antiseize so that next times it comes off much easier 
Don’t by a new Yamaha bearing to replace the one you just took off. Take the Yami bearing to a bearing supplier and they should be able to cross reference it for you to another brand that will be about half the $$$.
As long as you have the drive shaft out you may want to do one other thing that will help with the vibration and performance of your sled. If you have a machine shop near by have the drivers turned true to your drive shaft. You would be amazed at how out-of-round the drive wheels are from one another and the drive shaft. Doing this will cut down on a lot of driveline vibration and improve the performance of your sled. I had this done at a shop near my home in Eau Claire and it cost me $25 which was well worth it!

I got my bearing from an aftermarket supplier and it was more then half the price of the dealer
