warning lights

I have a new to me 1997 xtc 600, What lights are supposed to blink when you first start the sled? I have know something should blink??

bottom left water temp .. Warning light check- When engine is started, The diagnostic light will flash 3 times to indicate that the warning light is operational. If it does not occur, Check the bulb. This is out of the 97 tech update manual. I can post the whole page for you it has all the warning light meanings!
