yep, you're right. I'm not going to regear though, if fact if anything I'm going to gear down more if I need more power. Stock I could get that thing to go about 96 mph which isn't necessary for a mountain machine. In fact I can only see needing to go 60ish mph. First I'll try it like it is and see if the additional gearing the smaller drivers give me is ample enough to pull the larger track. From there I'll decide if I want more pickup or if it's good.

Got the track in, here's a progress pic. I think this thing's going to be sweet.
I've completely removed the headlight assembly, that save lots of weight, most the bogeys are gone, made my own rear two wheel setup, relocated and lowered the skid and installed the 144 with seven tooth drivers. I've got a set of skis for it I didn't have time to get on, I've also got plans to raise the handle bars and I've got some ideas for the seat as well. Still have to port the track and remove the swaybar (that's like 1/5 of an unecessary pound right there.)
Lots more work to do but I thought I'd throw these up.

Good job there man, shes lookin real good!
Those bars will look awsome raised, especially alot higher than that, like 8" taller. That alone will make the sled.

Here's my plan with the seat. It's actually my buddies idea, I think it's genious.
To get a higher stance and eliminate the hump on the rear we've got more foam and vynle to level the top of the seat from the front to the top of the hump in the rear, it should do lots to improve the stance. Going to take a little work.
