This sled is for sale locally and i was wondering if anyone on here knows anything about these or what they are worth. The lady said it ran fine 3 years ago the last time they rode it, but it doesnt start now. has 1750 miles, shes owned it for 9 years. She basically wants to get rid of it and is taking offers. Might be something fun to f*** around with. Not sure if it would be worth it or just a hassle. What do you think??

Sled

That is a 1970 or 1971 GP 433, the sleds looked the same both years. It is in great shape for the year. We have a 1969 SS 396 that looks just like it. Fast for the year but real tippy to ride. Have a lot of great memories on that old vintage stuff. Does it have a single pipe or twins ?

Not sure what pipes it has on it, the owner really doesnt know crap about it. I figure if the price is right i might pick it up. Goin sledding this weekend so i cant look at it til sunday. If she hasnt sold it by then ill probably get it.

I vote for the '72 year. I have a '73 GP433 that is a rock solid runner. Sled is worth no more that $300. The seat cover alone if its not torn or hard is worth the price of the sled alone. When I picked up my GP433 I replaced the condensors and it was up and running.

The 72 and 73 had different headlights. I also had two 1973 GP 433's with the 433S motor and the twin carbs. Quick sled for the year. If you look at the Yamaha site and look at the icon for all the years.
