Sorry for re-post:
I really need some help guys...
I am dumbfounded (emphasis on dumb). I just picked up a 2000 SRX 700 w/445 actual miles...
Cylinder 3 is not firing (the one off the right hand grip).
The spark plug is getting spark.
What could be the problem??? It seems to be getting 'wet', but not firing! I believe that there is adequate compression... This sled had just under 200 miles put on it last year.. . Its done a lot of sitting..
It starts up no problem... Cyl 3 is the problem..
HELP! I'm getting angrier by the minute..
I am feeling a little helpless right now!

get a light and look at the top of piston sounds like you could have a hole .or even get a commpression gage?did you switch plugs.

im bettign it is the plug
pul the plug, put a new one in, and you will prolly be godo to go. Try that fisrt, and if it still wont fire, then do teh compressino check!
Better yet, pull a head and look for the hole, I hope you dont have one!

Fouled plug I bet, swap them out or at least move to a different cylinder to see if the problem moves. If it doesn't have the carbs been cleaned at all?
