My first sled was a 69 scorpion 12hp single lung, Black with red stripe, and a cool scorpion emblem inbeded in the seat. 1st Yamaha was a 1978 440 exciter (actual picture), since then nothing but yammers!

Back in 1989 my first sled was a 1971 Polaris Colt 175
My wife's cousin gave it to me because, he said, "it would never run again".
Well, after two days of tinkering, it was a runner. (whopping 45mph)
It didn't take long to out grow the power of this one and sold it after about two weeks
Between then & now, there's been about 30 different sleds. Mercury, Johndeer, AMC, Skidoo, Evenrude, Kawasaki, Cat, & 5 YAMAHA's
I was a snowmobile addict, and bought anything that had a motor, track & skis that was cheep

1979 El Tigre 5000 free air, would go like stink when it stayed together.Rebuilt it twice, engine that is,clutch I lost count, put a new track under it and a set of AAen pipes from a previous owner.Could'nt wait to get rid of it.I was out of sledding for a while until I picked up a 97 SX 700 in Dec of 96 and the rest as they say is history.
a 1979 Ski-dog Blizzard 9500. POS.

I grew up riding a 1968 Ski Doo Olympique. Not much power to pull you out of a ditch, but man I could do some wicked donuts!
First Yamaha was a 79 250 Enticer, still have it and it runs great, just have to keep my daughter away from poles....aluminum frame vs. pole...pole wins everytime!
I also had a 79 Kawasaki Intruder 440 and Drifter 340

1st sled/s were a pair of John Deere'. 1983 Sportfire 440 ac, 1984 440 lquifire. 1 year later we picked up a 1980 300 enticer (that sled was a blast), then a 1985 Yammie 340 Enticer and shortly afterwards my love for 8000 miles and 10 years...1985-1995 R.I.P... Phazer. Had a 4 year leave of absence, college and traveled. Then got back in the sport when I met my wife (1/2000) borrowed a sled for a year and then got the Viper which has been an awesome sled...A fricken-1. Well, a few glitches, but never a cent out of pocket, cuz yammie covered it all and if I took it in on Sun or Mon. it was always ready by the next weekend, so I never skipped a beat. I'm not going to get a new sled for a couple more years now, but I'm 99.9999999999999999999% sure it's going to be Yamaha.... thanks for reading!
