Hi guys,
I have a 96 Vmax 600XT and I was wondering if there was something I could do to the suspension stiffer. When I sit on the seat the flap is nearly on the ground. I want the rear to sit up a lot higher if possible.
So what can I do??

I'm working on mine right now. Look for someone to rebuild your rear shocks. (It's costing me about $25 / shock)
Hmmm....who is doing that for you?

I just called a local dealer and asked if they perform rebuilding shocks and they said they didn't so I asked for a recommendation. They referred me to a place in Victoria MN (western suburbs of Minneapolis) called All Power Sports (952-443-3887) I'm sure if you asked your local repair shop they'd be able to recommend a local place as well. I've talked to several people that had this same issue and rebuilding the shocks did the trick.
Sweet, I will call a local yamaha shop and see where i can get this done. But I dont think that will do anything for the height of the rear. But will try that first and go from there.

That will get the back off the ground. If you really want to raise it up get an M-10 from Fast.

Ahh, thats too expensive for me on a 96.
Stiffen up the spring a bit both front and rear shocks in the skid...maybe you need a heavier spring maxximum performance can help check them out...CP
