It was a week after getting my brand new SX Venom and I was following two of my friends. They're very good riders, so they gunned it to the top of a very steep hill 25 feet high to the side of a road. Well I wasn't as experienced as them and didn't want to go up a hill that steep, they were yelling "Com'on, nothing to it!", ...so of course peer pressure won. So I gunned it up the hill (a few feet to the right of their path) and as soon as I came to the top, I see a steel pole sticking out of the ground, ...BANG, almost flew over the handle bars! I got off and looked at the sled, the steel pole fit perfectly between the ski and the sled body. It hit the radius rods and shock perfectly, ...they were bent badly and the shock couldn't move an inch. I crept home and then had a good, stiff drink. The next day the two guys were apologizing like crazy. Unfortunately, my sled was at the dealer for the next week while they were riding. Lesson learned, drive within your abilities and don't give in to peer pressure!
