Hey Everybody, I Just Purchased Some Protaper Bars For My Mountain Viper. I Wanted To See If Anybody Has Ever Put A Set Of These On. I Need To Know If They Were Able To Save The Handlegrip Warmers Or If They Had To Buy The Grip Or All New Warmers Including Wiring. Any Information On This Topic Would Be Greatly Appreciated.

On my 02 viper i put new hand grips on and i just had to drill out the rivit on the inside of the grip...don't know if that helps any??
So Were Able To Use The Old Handwarmers, Just New Grips.

You may be able to save the grip as the grips on the newer sled the heater element is inside the actual grip. Try and save the grip they are pretty expensive around 33$ a pc for them. I couldnt save the ones from my stock bars when i bought pro tapers for my srx. Bit it and just bought two brand new grips!

I have done Pro-Tapers on the last couple of sleds. As I sold the stock bars, I removed the left grip, to be re-used, and put new ones on my bars.

make sure your new bars are not stronger than your steering collum.

aren't the protapers bigger than stock bars? How do you mount them up? need a conversion riser?

yea you jsut put 1 1/8 inch adapter on the old bars jsut like a dirt bike or fourwheeler...

my buddy has a rox 3.5 riser with the 1 1/8 opening on the top for a yammi for sale, make me an offer, and ill get with him.
