I had my sled to the dealer yesterday and called my son to ride it home for me - he rides a AC ZR600, and has never ridden the Viper so I figured I would give him a thrill - he has been died in the wool AC since day one, I got home about 45 minutes after he left the dealership and he wasn't home yet - (a 10 minute ride tops). When he pulled in the garage he was all smiles - said it was "quick" and pulled out of the corners better than his - I would bet he buys Yamaha next time!

His best buddy has green blood - the whole family does, so chalk it up to peer pressure - Yamaha riders take a beating in this area - at the beginning of the trip anyway!

yes yamaha riders definately (probably in past years more than in the last year or two) take a beating when it comes to getting ripped on. Usually one ride and they are hooked, they are all talk

Maybe that wasn't a good thing. Now the gas gauge on your Viper will be empty all the time, ...or when you go to jump on your Viper, it'll be gone and you'll be looking at an Arctic Cat in your garage, ...lol.

LOL Thats funny. Its true though. My father bashed the heck out of the Phazer II I used to have, untill he rode it. After that he even ADMITTED that it was a nice little sled. My father is die-hard Polaris, so thats HUGE. I cant wait untill I get an RS Vector and he trys that out.
I love it when Im gassing up my sled at a gas station and people notice that Im riding a Polaris, but Im wearing a Yamaha riding suit. They sometimes ask me if Im Yamaha or Polaris. I always say, "Im riding a Polaris right now because the price was right. Believe me, if I manage to find a 600 SXr at a fair price, this Poo will be for sale."
Most people just nod their head and say, "Yeah, those new Yamahas are really nice." Yes they are, yes they are....

Captain- If I would have known, I would have looked your way before letting my '00 600sxr go a few months back. I got $2300 for it and it looked like new.

No kidding, ajviper. A while after I bought the 600 XC I found several 600 SXrs for sale.
I would have gladly paid you $2300 for it!
Oh well, I'll be back on a Yamaha before long.
