it actually will run very, very well with some very minor mods, peel the headgasket, run 142.5 mains all the way across, and drop the needles down a shim, place both shims on top of the clip, reed spacers, and run 8dn-10 weights, a yellow/silver/yellow yamaha spring,52/42 helix with green secondary spring, it will flat out haul butt!

well it has a bender clutch kit bender can and tranfer rods haven't got to ride it yet but the guy that i bought it from said it is fast. :yrules:

VERY reliable motor, most in the industry call this one the bulletproof engine in the industry, often used as the reliable engine others are compared to.

Bulletproof for sure. It has lots of available horsepower if you get into some serious porting. We've got one here putting out 166hp @ 10,200. Runs strong. You should have lots of fun with your SX. Good sleeper.

Center 0f gravity is so low it handle corners lighting fast. I think they handle better than the SRX'S.

They DEFINATLEY handle better than the srx's. Less ski lift from a lower cg and lighter overall weight. My '97 sx railed much better than my '01 srx.
