hmmmm, I thought people had found them at NAPA. A guy I know that is a bearing dealer can't even find one like it.
Anyone know where to get one other than from Yamaha so I don't have to spend 30 bucks?

There was a thread about this in the last 4-5 weeks. Try searching for it.

I've seen those in the catalogue but have always wondered if they are the one or two piece inner race?!?!

crewchief, the only difference between the royal ones and the yamaha ones is that yamaha uses torx set screws and the royal ones use allen head set screws.

Thanks for the help guys, but I'm in the US. Isn't it going to cost me about the same getting it across the border as buying one from Yamaha? Anyway, I actually need 2 so I'm gonna keep trying

Sorry dude, didn't mean to hi-jack your thread. Don't know how much your dealer is trying to get but that's about half price for us. Approx. $17 US plus GST (7%) and shipping. I don't think you'd get dinged for the PST (8%) as it's leaving the province, but don't quote me on that. I',m sure there has to be a US equivilant to Royal though.

Bluerider17,
They are NTN bearings; a bearing dealer near you should be able to get them.
NTN numbers are drive axle NTN UB205 and jackshaft AS205D1. These numbers are for 97-2003 V-max, Venture, SRX, Viper, Venom.

tomseal6,
Those numbers are for the clutch end of the shafts.
The bearings for the chaincase end of the shafts are NTN 6205 2RS.
The bearing in the chaincase cover is a NTN 6204 2RS (I have not used the chaincase cover bearing yet but the numbers are out of the catolog).

tomseal6,
there is a footnote in the catolog that says the drive axle (clutch side) NTN UB205 bearing will not fit 97-98 MNT MAX 700.

My bearing dealer couldn't find the axle bearing, maybe it was just the manufacturer that he uses doesn't carry the bearing. At this point I may just as well suck it up and hope that the Canadian taxes don't get me. Anyone from the states have any experience buying from Royal?

With the difference in the dollar, you should come out far ahead. $1.00 US is about 81 cents Canadian. That's about a 19% savings for you. Sometimes I wish I was American then I have one of our beers and all is good.
