Plugs
I haven't bought plugs for 17 years.*(except for spares to carry on the machine) I have 4 sleds. The only set i ever wore out were the NGK fine wire type. A buddy gave me a set of these set because he changes his plugs more than his underwear.
The only one foul out between the 4 machines in all this time was due to letting one sled run at idle too long after a cold start. Collectively that over 20,000 miles.
I don't even clean the plugs in the fall anymore when it get the machines out for the first time and i do fog them in the spring.
When I do find the need to clean them i use the sandblaster type cleaner. Then a small wire to dig the sand out. rinse with carb cleaner and blow then out with shop air.
I glad to see this thread because i was thinking of this subject the other day and how many plugs that just need a cleaning are thrown away every winter.

Crap I don't understand why you go through that many plugs. I put a fresh set in at the start of the year and thats it for the season. Maybe just maybe I may put in a fresh set 1/2 way through the year but thats it. Hmmmm
