Does anyone know if a jackshaft from a '96 VMax 600 will fit a '94 VMax 600?

not sure but an easy way to see is to go to www.yamaha-motor.com go to the snomobile section and click on parts and services and go to parts catolog and look up each sled and parta dn see if they are the same part number if they are it will fit.
does it take removing the short shaft from the gear case, and just swaps right in?
