2007 sneak peek

was over on snowest and a guy said he saw a pair of yamaha's that he's never seen before so he figured it was the prototype and said it had 24-25" shocks!!! now i call that a ditch stompin beast!!!

i sure hope they build a sno-xer i will be sporting one in the pro-vets next year for sure.everything else that i race is a yamaha so i sure hope they build it.

yammy is the king of trying to get everyone fired up about what's up and coming hey? :yam:

I'm thinking they are going full out with the monoshock Idea and building a full blown ditch banger with a 13.5" track, thinner tunnel, and a dirt bike like seating position.

If they do come out with another sled i hope it will be cheaper then 10 grand! they should make apexs with a supercharger and a turbo on it stock! now that would be sweet eh?

You got that right!

Especially lately with each model year coming out with new, and better models which each year are increasingly different (better) than the competition. Id has been said that this year, Yamaha has had the best model line up, and wouldnt be suprised if they had the best line up in several other years.

well so far from what i've been hearing, and some of those people claim to have seen the new sleds out and about during testing (even blaze commented on the new one, so you know it can take a pounding, aka ditch banger) and they are saying that its a mogul bashing beast that looks way slimmer (from the front) which means it could be a 2 cyinder four stroke and also that it had very, VERY rather large shocks. hopefully they will have over come the problems with the mono only being able to be a 121", maybe a 128" like the F-cats would be nice for sno-x. one guy said the front shocks looked to be 24-25" long!!! as far as turbo and super charger from the factory... i highl doubt it unless its on a trail sled. polaris tried it and failed, arctic cat did it and it wasn't as hot as the hoped. i think to get their most bang for the buck when putting an forced induction piece on there, that its gonna take some extensive testing. and of course, with the amount of aftermarket turbos out there, why charge more for something that could deter from people buying it? we all can't affored $10k+ machines, and turbos would only make it more. so as far as a factory turbo or supercharger goes, i highly doubt it. most likely they are lightening the sled even more, i'm willing to put money on it that they will have a twin fourstroke, and also that they have a all new, very aggressive chassis (even if its based off the delta-box or whatever its called) imagine that, twin with huge ohlins lookin you in the face... pretty mean if you ask me!!!

Okay this is what i heard..... I heard a 450F dirt bike motor with stock super charger which will be in the 120 class also it will have wicked shocks all around and this will be yamaha's Ditch banger/ snowX P.S This WILL BE A 1 Cylinder so super light....... Also Stock Turbos for apex's

I dont really care if they make a ditch banger, but it would do the company good. I just dont have anyhting other than trails around here..... and I hope they dont do the 13.5 track. tippy and less traction. thats why everyone seems to love the new m series. has a regular track so less tippy and better traction. not worth the weight loss to me

I happen to notice on the Yamaha website that the top catagory right now is "Rough Trail" they have dropped the "High Performance" catagory they used to have since the new apexes arrived. I wonder if there is a potential lower slung high performance apex with higher h.p. in the future. Similar to how the SRX's came out a year after the SX debut. Doesn't seem that far fetched to me.
