I RUN MY 2002 ON A 1/2 MILE LONG AIR STRIP ON SNOW. AT THE VERY END, BY DCS BLINKS SLOWLY. NOW THIS HAPPENED WITH EVERY BRAND OF 93 OCTANE I COULD BUY AT THE PUMP. WELL MY OPTION WAS GO UP TO 2001 JETTING. ANYWAYS AFTER STILL WANTED TO RUN 2002 JETTING WHICH IS SAME AS 2000, I DECIDED TO TRY A GAS CALL UNLEADED GT WHICH IS MADE BY SUNOCO. OCTANE RATED AT 100 WITH A MOTOR # OF 98. NOW I REALIZE MOST WONT DO THIS, BUT THE STATE OF GAS TODAY IS PRETTY BAD ESPECIALLY WITH 10% ETHNOL ADDED FOR EMISSION. SINCE I HAVE USED THIS GAS, DCS LITE HAS NOT BEEN ON. 3:16 (tony)
Hi Tony. I live overseas and we only got 2 types of gasoline. The 95 octane which is regular (the octane is measured differently than in the states). And the premium which is 98. I know that your "premium", which I believe is 92 or 93 equals 97 on the european scale. I filled up premium and it still came on. After reading mrvipers post (if I understood it correctly) I realized that the reason why it is coming on is that the biggest jet is on the wrong side. I'll try chaning that and see what happens..

It's reassuring that at least somebody has got their dcs to shut up. Now I know there's hope for mine also. thanks

I just had my heads off today and would would not believe how rich my sled was. And the dcs was always going off left and right. I since have it disconnected. and i'm jetting down
x2ryder. I believe the reason for why your dcs goes off is that you run a bigbore. I believe that the bigbore mod also includes a head mod. When modifying the head, the signals that the sensor listens for do not match the non detonantion frequensy of the stock sled. What I'm trying to say here is that the head mod of the bigbore makes the dcs think that it is detonating while it is not.

You could be correct. Cause these pistons tops are very rich. I am jetting down.
Now I know that I don't want a bigbore, just yet. Who's bigbore are you running? What jets are you running and to what jets are you changing to?

It's a JPC bigbore (Jackson Performance Center) it's a shop here in town. Going to go to 148.8 151.3 150. Friend of mine runs this setup in his 780 and it seems to work very well.
