I want to stud my wifes 600 deluxe. Can the front exchanger protectors be installed without removing the track. Do you just remove the current rivets and replace them. Also can the tunnel protectors be installed by just removing the seat. Thanks,
You can add on the front protectors without removing the track/suspension. It's about a 5 minute job.
For the tunnel protectors you will need to remove the seat, gas tank, and drop the suspension.

Thanks, for the fronts do you just drill out the current rivets and replace them with longer ones to hold the protector?

there are two kinds of front protectors. One type doesn't have a pin on top, just a hole and you need to rivet them to the tunnel, so you need to remove the drive axle and suspension and everything to install, the other you don't have to remove everything because they have a pin on top that fits in the holes up in the tunnel so you don't have to rivet the top, only the bottom.
