1998 SRX 600. (got it for 1300$) Needs a new cylinder, piston, and set of rings. I bought another cylinder and head and valve, and am sending them off for tradein + spending some money, so I'll get 3 nice ported, polished cylinders with 3 modded heads and valves as well. Should be up and running by the new year!!!! 160ish HP SRX, here we come!

Never seen a trail ported 600 SRX get over 133 hp. Owned 2 of em.

thanks bountyhunter! Now i just gotta work! I want to get viper shocks for the front and back!!!

Your gonna need a 700 SRX CDI & different nozzles & jets in those carbs. You are probably better off to buy a used carb rack from a 700 SRX.The 600 carbs are the same size but the guts are entirely different.

why cant i use a 600 srx cdi? I heard they work better anyways.... ya im already trading for the 700 srx carb rack. Thanks turk. I'll probably need help clutching it when its all done:)

600 cdi has more advance=more chance of detonation with bad fuel or big problems if jetting is lean.

yea you can use the 600 cdi but as turk said it has quite a few degrees more advance and will be more on the ragged edge when it comes to longer pulls and fuel quality. I wouldn't use the 600 box for anything more than 500 foot drags.
