besides the obvious benifits in deeper snow, why would you go to a longer track??? how does it affect handling? in the ditches and on the trails?? pros/cons etc thx much!

so far im not seeing a downside. ride is better (espically in the mogul fields on the weekends in the u.p.) traction is better and handling is pretty much the same.

136" slides are more expensive :o| lol ;):D ;):D
oem yamaha 136" slides are cheaper than oem 121" polaris slides! and the yamaha ones are cut to length with the ends already angled!:o|

The longer track will definately help when going over the moguls and drifts on lakes. Feels much more stable than a 121"

I just recently purchased a set of blue Kimpex sliders and they suck. First of all, not cut to length or bevelled correctly so had to do that all myself and then installing them, one got buggered up and got wrecked, so I had to buy a whole new set. Also, they do not come with a wear line, unlike the stock ones. Havent had a chance to try them out yet on the snow, so not sure if they will wear out quicker or faster than the stockers.

Dont need a wear line

Do what i always do: drill holes in the slide at the bend and at a few points down the length of the slide. This way you can always look through the hole and see exactly how much material you have left before you are into the rails. Make sure you get those slides really hot when brand new, and then cool them off quick in some powder. It will help them last a lot longer. ;)!
