Snow is finally here,
I was hoping someone could answer a question for me. When installing a electric start onto a 2000 SXR700, do I remove the smoothing condenser that is mounted under the hood (beside the headlight)?
Thanks,
Greg

no, I just read the yamaha instructions and they make no mention of it.

I also read that in the tech manual but in the SXR/Venture service manual the wiring diagram doesn't show a smoothing condenser with electric start.
Could someone with an electric start Venture, SXR please look at the underside of their hood and see if there is a smoothing condenser mounted beside the headlight.
Thanks
