Just curious what people have to say. Is there a sled that all stock or lightly modded is just what you would consider "the one" or the perfect sled in your eyes.

06 polaris 550 supersport with factory M-10. Lightweight and agile. Would be nice if yamaha would do something like that. Nothing for the little ones either.
I'd take a quad-piped Vmax-4 engine in a newer lighter chassis. Mono-shock skid and an updated TSS system, keeping the cosmetic look of the original Vmax-4's.
I love my RX-1 but have never gotten over the sound and power of my 4-cyl 2 stroke. And even after springs, links, swaybar and so on the a-arms still don't rail the corners like the old TSS used to.

My XTC.

My perfect sled would have been an 04 Viper S with a factory triple/triple, maybe with an expert-x in it. To bad Yami didn't make it.

1997 Vmax4 with a monoshock rear skid, quad pipes that would work well with today's fuel conditions, a better track, and if it got mileage like a 4-stroke!! That would be the ultimate sled in my eyes.

Close Katahdin.
Everything you said , but wrap it around the Apex (rider forward delta box)
I'm almost there. To nervous to add pipes.

I would like a LARGE Sno-Sport, with a A-arm front-end, a single or twin 4-stroke 700 to 900 cc, Power stearing, fuel-injection, with a up dated fluid drive system. The rear supision like a YZ with a split track , so that shock is in the middle, in a up-werd posision. With a Rip-saw track. I had a sno-scoot, man that thing was FUN. Just needed to be a lot bigger.

my vote is for a tss 500 liquid or aircooled with 136" ripsaw and 11"+ travel. would go like stink and have good on and off trail manners with modern tecnology applied to it. that and it easy to thow around so it be a good learners sled.

mines the one ive desinged and drafted up from scratch and plan on building as soon as i can get the material and a welder. id show u guys a pic of the cad drawings but its top secrate and i dnt want any of my ideas getting out there. i have almost 4 years of sketching adn design in to it. one thing it will ahve in it is a beefed up mono skid with a skiny track and 128 rails. ive found a way to to get rid of most of teh heat exchangers and also strengthen the fram using a tubular chasie.

After riding one last weekend I think Yami produced the ultimate sled this year. I think the apex is hard to beat. No, I don't own one, but I will after riding one. Before riding the apex I would have said what I had was perfect. 780 Viper, 136 Expert X, USI project X, EGT, and a ripsaw. Not so cool after you ride the apex.
I haven't ridden the Apex, but saw it at the dealership and sat on it. It looks and feels awsome. I have one complaint. From the mid point of the seat to the back, to me, is But Ugly! If they could clean up the rear, maybe give it more of a Rev seat look, It would look much better. Looks kind of tankish to me.
