What is your idea of a perfect sled, any year, any make?

I'm still a fan of small 440 race sleds, I had a XCR I just loved, fast as heck back then and weighed around 450 dripping wet. Not sure what my ultimate sled would be anymore. (besides a apex :) )

Motor = MPI Supercharged Genesis motor
Chassis = Race Rev based with Van Amberg tunnel
Shocks = Fox floats all around
Suspension = Full titanium front and Fabcraft rear with titanium rails
Seat = Boss High Rise Tanker
Bars = Fly freerides with ROX 5" riser
Skis = Slydogs
Track = 144 x 16 x 2.5 maverick

Guy can dream cant he????

viper s w/136 ripsaw from factory with mono skid. pumpin around 140hp(no triple pipes just single bender pipe), c&a skis, low windshield, excell seat riser, lots of cosmetic goodies.

i'm almost there minus the mono skid and 140hp with my 02

2000 Arctic CAT ZR 440 SNO-Pro picked and clutched> one of the fastest and best things i have ever ridden on the trails. Thing is wicked fast 0-80. Out

a srx with a xpert x with a 10" track,all digital gauges, with built in egt gauges with a boss seat with more porting & with 38 tmx flatslides.light wieght front end with higher quality trailing arms...

I agree, My first choice would be the Viper S, 800 single pipe with a mono/ohlins skid, but I already have one of those. But my old favorite was a short Phazer, AAEN single, mild porting, 4" widening kit, good struts, Hyd brake, custom sway bar, and today we would have to add the Mono rear, be just like driving a go cart in the woods..............

That's my project!!!!

This sled is in my garage right now, minus the 10" track.
It already has a racepak digital dash with egt's and engine porting by MrViper700. Now I'm installing a 44" wide cbperformance front end. When that's done I have an expert x sitting there ready to go in along with a new 1" hacksaw track and 144 studs. After that there's a pair of C@A skis waiting. I'm going to run modified RX-1 shocks with the front end kit. They look to be the perfect length. The only thing left after that is a Boss seat w/nitrous pouch (hehehe), and custom graphics by Redmater.

I went out and bought an Apex GT to tide me over untill its done. The SRX is taking longer than I expected.

would love to own another mint condition 440 exciter. my 79 was a blast and great on gas. i was 16 and it was my freedom. must have put on 2,500 miles in the 1 season i owned it.... it would really scoot for a 440.... i sold it to buy my car since i was getting my driverse license in the spring.

A 700cc 4 stroke 3 lunger yamaha with F.I. around 489#with a yz single swing arm rear suspensiiiion that i could drop from a skyscraper and land ever so softly,also a front suspesiiion to match it.with all the color options,and windshield and acessiory options included with purchase,probably the sled that i could never afford....
so my 700SXSB will have to do,it has been a great sled for me,speedter,got enough power,and a cruiser all in one(priceless)

i love my sled and i love yamahas...but my ideal sled for the type of riding i like to do would be an 05 Arctic Cat F7 EFI EXT. I love to jump and i like to ride moderate powder conditions. I dont know if the quality would hold up but the way the sled is set up is perfect. IM very pissed that yamaha went 90 percent 4 stroke too. they kinda suck now. I wouldnt by any of them to be honest. thats my 2 cents. i love yamaha and i am very brand loyal. but for my riding they arent it.

candy apple red attak, studded track, aftermarket mufflers, higher windshield, gytr clickers in the front, c&a razors on front.
