I just installed a hook on the left side of my vector and I'm wondering if I should bother with the throttle side. What do you guys with hooks think? Can you reach the throttle while still utilizing the hook in a right hand turn? Or do you only use it when you are off the throttle?

not needed in my opinion, actually gets inthe way for how i turn hard to the right. i wrap my wrist over the top of the throttle side and use my fingers v.s thumb for throttle application in aggressive rt hand turning. if the hook is there, it gets in the way for my transition from normal to (goofy) turning position for my hand.and wrist. ski

I stopped putting them on my sleds...I have had the same problem. Seam to get in the way. Plus I can only remember a couple times thinking "wow good thing that was on there". And more times then non thinking "damn that hurt my wrist!"

So I hit the gym and squizzzzze that handlebar a little tighter.

I had some on my sled for about 5 miles then took them off. They got in the way when doing sharp turns either way. As far as the throttle goes, i ride with a trigger throttle. I find it way easier than the thumb when boondocking or even standing up.

If the sled fell over or tipped on it's side in deep snow, you could hold onto the hook and pull the sled up. I turned my handles down the leaned them towards the front a bit (so it didn't hit off my knees).
