I am working on a 96 vmax 600 and it has an idling issue. I have tried every possible thing I can think of and am looking for some advice for my next avenue to take. First I cleaned carbs and checked reeds and reed cages for broken petals and crakes in the boots. Still it seems be sucking air from somewhere. The sled will idle fine at 1600rpm and if you touch the thortle it will idle up to 3500rpm. Then if you quickley wack the thortle it will idle back down and so on. I took carb cleaner and sprayed around the crank seals and the sled didn't idle up or down. I have adjusted the idle screw and tried disconnecting the TORS. If anyone has some input it would be much appreciated. I am at a total loss of ideas to try.

Did you bypass the TORS or just diconnect it? you would have to plug the wires from the carbs into each other to bypass it.
What happens when you give it more throttle?. Does it bogg and then rew nice after passing 5500-6000rpm?.
I`m having this issue on a friends sled that I`m working on.. .

yes but...
Check your pilots for blockage and/or turn your pilot screws out half turn, ...as suggested check all your cable adjustments and free play.
