I know I'm probably beating a dead horse here, but im still at a lost as to wether I should get an M10, expert, or that bender reaction. From the sounds of the reviews, the m10 is right for me. I mostly trail ride and would like a skid that sucks up all the bumps big and small, and when i hit the bumps i go faster not slower. Can the m10 take a beating? I hear alot of people saying get an expert, get an expert, but they dont say why. The top end loss of the m10 doesnt concern me to much. Im mostly worried about durability. I wreck so much crap in my stock suspention each year its not even funny. I dont know much about the bender setup other than its cheaper. I wish i knew how it rides though. any info? I know this is likely to turn into a heated battle, but any info would be apriciated. Heres a list of characteristics im looking for from most important to least.
1. Durability, I want to put it in there and not worry about it.
2. Ride Quality, I want it to suck up all the bumps big or small fast or slow.
3. transfer
4. cost
5. weight

The Bender setup may be a reeally good deal, but its not tested yet, so that strikes the reaction down.
The Expert X has been proven to be VERY durable and able to take ALOT of abuse.
Ultimately if it is the very best ride you are looking for you need an M-10. As far as durability I think with regular maintanance the M-10s are holding up nicely.
Think of it this way, the Expert is a little more sporty than the M-10, the M-10 rides a little better than the Expert.

The M-10's I have had (Ohlins) have held up great. I had no problem with sitting or standing wide open in 3-4' bumps.

M10 is truly THE BEST suspension for a plush ride. If you really like to pound moguls and have a lot of transfer and lightweight, etc, the Expert is probably a little more suited to you.

1. Expert
2. M-10, although I hear the Expert is not that far behind
3. Expert
4. Bender. Expert and M-10 are about equal
5. Toss up

One other important characteristic to not overlook would be the effect on your sleds handling. I've heard the M-10/12's increased ride height can really mess with the front end for handling. Expert has better adjustments to compensate.
