The sheaves were too close on my '94 Vmax 500 ST.
I loosened everything & slid the motor straight forward to increase sheave distance, but it didn't help as much as I thought it would.
question - are you supposed to "spin" the motor clockwise a little on its mounts to get the desired sheave dist?
If I move the left side of the motor forward and the right side rearward, it seems like it would create the 10.6" I'm looking for.
Is the sheave spec 10.6 for both this 94 ST and also 95 VX600?
