Does anyone know what modifications you need to make to have the precisions skis work on an SRX?

in all fairness to that brand that has yellow and black colors, the precision skis seemed to work much better on the zx chassis then the rev, ie the introduction this year of the PILOT skis.... i would think they would work well on a srx as it is a similar chassis to the zx.....

i have ridden the doo skis on both zx and rev, and they were nice on the old chassis but very pushy on the rev.... so hey, try it see what u think, i think others have put them on their yamis.... i would think pretty easy to do, but i have never done it,

Good luck.....

i have had the precisions on my viper and an srx, they work very well off trail and on hardpack. darting is nearly gone.

but, theres always a but isnt there???
take that same hardpack trail add 4-6 inches of fresh on it, and the push is soooooooo bad it will scare the livin chit out of you. they plow bad.

this is with the limiters sucked up full tight on the viper and full tight with one extra hole cut to pull them down farther on the srx.

they will bolt on with no problems to the proaction chassis sleds, you made have to add one washer between the spindle and the mount and thats it. ski

I have precisions on my Rx-1. I like them. Bolt right on also.

they bolt up, but alterations are needed to get Yamaha's rubber bumpers to work and fit into the saddle of the Precision skis.... the Ski-doo bumpers don't work well at all...

or did I spend time unnecessarily on this?

Thanks for the input all. I am going to try these out since my SRX has the M-10 it darts even more than a stock sled, or I assume the M-10 is the reason...

the bumpers for the skidoo zx chassis with precisions (02-03) work very well on the yamaha set up.

yes tj, you spent time unnecessarily on this. LOL! ski

skidooboy.... I found the spindles of the doo's to be at a very different angle than the Yammis with proaction... the bumpers from Ski-doo were not only too high but also forced that angle on to the spindles..

I carved a shim that fit into the saddles of the precision skis, then planed them off to that height required for stock Yammy rubber bumpers....

It replicated the proaction spindle angles and platform perfectly...

Still not sure how you make Doo bumpers work??..

The Doo bumpers I returned to the dealer were from an 02 MXZ Renegade..
Don't know what a zx chassis is???...

thanks
tj..
