are there alot of dealers trying to dump brand new 4 stroke sleds on E-BAY? Do they know something we don't? Seems alittle early in the season to get ride of all the inventory to me. I'm not sure if there is something going on, or if they just don't want to get stuck with a bunch of sleds.

no, its just that if you sell a certain amount of sleds yamaha pays the dealer back $ for all the sleds they ordered for that year. So in short, if they sold 10 sleds and had to sell 13 to meet their number the other 3 being sold would mean alot more $ returned from yamaha PER unit, thats all 13 units they would earn $$ on.

Well the two yammy dealers I've been in the last 2 weeks or so have very few new sleds for sale. One dealer has a single RX1, the other has a couple more than that (about 3 or 4 total) but is a bigger dealer and had more total sleds to sell, so the ratio is probably about the same. But, that was back when we still had FRIGGEN SNOW ON THE GROUND!!!!!!

This weather is killing me.

I think if you look long enough you will find new sleds from all brands on ebay... I think that dealers are just jumpin on the ebay bandwagon and trying to boost sales to people that would probably never walk into their showroom.... it is pretty cheap advertising and reaches people everywhere... so what the heck... why not....

and hopefully, the first post has some meat to it to... i am getting an 07 so yami, bring it on!!!!! (although i dont think you will see much of a change in the apex line, it will be changes or additions of new sleds, probably in the 3 cyl)

I think there is a high demand for the apex sleds right now. my dealer cant build em fast enough. I think people want em bad and bid them higher than they ought to. supply and demand :)

Floor plan (financing) burns up the profits - better to sell and get off the floorplan than to hold on to at some point.
