What kind of puller do I need to remove the speedo side bearing? I'm trying to change tracks in my srx and can't budge that bearing by hand. Everything was going so well too, that was my last step and it was out, but no luck. Also, how do I press the new one back on way down in there?

Use a 3-jaw puller to get the bearing off. When It is off use some emery cloth on the shaft to clean up, the new bearing should slide right on.
Cooling the shaft and heating the bearing slightly will help if it is still tight.

you got the 2 torx screws out of the lock collar right?, worst cae scenario is just drill out rivets in bearing holder and take the whole thing out with the shaft, then press off the bearing, had to do that a couple times when they are trashed.

ditto,
i left out the rivets for quicker changing and repacking of the bearing. also helps when you change the track every other week.

That bearing has 2 set screws in it, not sure that they are torx head, on sxr's and xtc's they aren't, get them loose and she should slide out pretty easy.
Yup, set screws came loose quite easy actually. I have the shaft pushed out the speedo side enough to get something in there to pull with, I just didn't know what. Can I get this "3 jaw puller" at the hardware store? Thanks for your help guys.
any automotive store has them, one thing to do though is, put something in the center of the shaft, a small piece of wood, aluminum or something, or you will booger up the speedo drive inset with the center of the puller stud.
Another thing you can do is push the bearing back in and lightly file the edge of shaft, sometimes if someone whacked it with a hammer, they get a burr and wont let the bearing come off easily.

I don't need the speedo drive anymore with my digital dash (jackshaft sensor), but you're probably right. I'll cut a piece of flat stock to cover the end incase I ever need it again or sell the sled. Good info guys, thanks much. I found a puller too (carquest).
