I heard that Yamaha has asked Blair Morgan to join their race team for next year. They have been doing testing on there race sleds here in Thompson before Xmas. His contract is up with ski-doo this year, Maybe he'll ride yamaha next year, he ride's their bike in moto-X in the summer. That's just t what I heard this week.

That would be great as he is among the most famous riders in snow X and would give yamaha alot of atention.
Plus, it would give me a reason to buy that Coldwave blair morgan jacket.., especially if it says yamaha somewhere on it.

Yeah Yamaha doesn't really have alot of jackets and suits to choose from. There would be alot more clothing with Yamaha on it for sure

Your right they don't have many to choose from, but I know of a couple suits that are pretty sweet.
I agree with Yamahammer..It's the attention they need right out of the gate as they return to the limelight.

terret, how can you say Blair is cocky? i mean, how can you judge a person from watching him at the local track or on tv? if you know him or something like that, then i'm out of line, but i wouldn't rip on someone just cuz of what i see on tv (unless its terrel owens, but thats a different story) i'd like to see tucker hibbert and his old man hop aboard a yammie, that kid would duel it out pretty good with blair. that and dj eckstrom and the other guy (i forget his name) they are pretty consistent. but it'd also be nice to see someone new, some young gun come out and start winnin with blue so that the big four could all battle it out, makes it more interesting (except you'd have to talk tucker into given up motox and pickin up the sled)

I heard it from a guy who races sno-X, and he talk's to Blair Morgan every week. He didn't say he was just that Yamaha asked him to race their sleds. Yamaha still has a problem with the suspension on the race sled but the have a shit load of power!

Terret even if he is cocky he is the best in the bizz at sno x, but i still dont think it will happen because ski doo is the #1 sno x team, so unless yamaha has a lot of money to offer him, i dont see him going anywhere. Yamaha would also need to be involved in Sno X in north america too lol.

I guess we will see, it's just what I heard. and the only reason Ski-doo is the best is because of him. He did it with A/C now Ski-doo, maybe Yamaha next you'll never know

didnt meen to offend any one its just i realy dont like him for some reason im not sure why i just think hes cocky from what i see in his interviews. a few of my buddies around here fell the same maybe is a western mass thing im not sure. all i know is id rather see some one else on a yamie then him no matter how good he is. plus u dont knwo how good hes gonna be racing after recovering from that broken leg or legs cant remeber if it was just one or both. theres plenty of other riders out there that can give him a run for his money. speeking of teh races any one know when thell be on tv and what network ive been scrolling my guid on every channle i can think of and cant seem to find it last year it was on ONL.
blair is a dirty racer, that is why i dont like him. he will smash his own teammate off the track for a win. great for him. now you defenders may say that is just racing but i never saw tucker aim for anyone in a corner.
yes he can ride no doubt about it. as for me if he is on blue, im not cheering for blue to win.

I am with BTV on this one,Morgan trademark move stab you in the corner and pass you on the inside. If and i mean A BIG IF anyone i would like to see on a Yamaha it would have to be Tim Bender JR. The kid has alot of guts watched him race last season at rich stadium Buffalo,ny and he is impressive, but still a young man so he has some room for growth and improvment.Bm is to egocentric, hey if your a great racer i wont take that away from you as long as you win cleanly, and you keep the attitude in check.Because one thing my father taught me is the people who make you big are the people who can break you,and thats the fans......RM

i wasn't pin pointing you terret, i didn't mean for it to come off that way. my family is huge in the basketball field (dad coached my younger bros team, which 2 of the kids would have never played in high school, yet now they are rated in the top 20 in the nation in college recruiting) and i've always felt there was a big difference between personality and play ability. i agree with you guys totally on the blair being a cheap racer, to an extent. i believe it lettin people battle it out, and not any of this "no touching anyone crap" because thats what a competition is. basketball you block out, you jab step, you constantly have your hands on the guy so you know where he is all the time, but yet you do get fouls for when its uneccesary. so like the time blair speared tucker hibbert straight off the track on the turn, i mean head on over the berm, then yes he is dirty, but if your ski to ski through everything and knocking back and forth then no. and also on the cocky, how many "celebrity" status people have you known that don't come off cocky at some point or another? even michael jordan did at some times. well, thats just what i think. i'd go for blair riding blue, because big name people like him bring with them other prospects. i doubt blue would put up with his style tho...
Blair seemed to recover pretty good from his broken leg during the Canadian motorcross series, from the races I caught on TV anyway. He started the season a little slow but nearer the end was running top 5 I think. I keep hearing about the rough racing thing but I don't remember seeing it in the motorcross, maybe I'm blind, maybe they're two different things. Maybe when you're up front, the cameras don't catch all of the 'rough' driving going on back in the field. I can't say either way because I've yet to see him live on the snow or dirt. Regardless of what you think of him, from a marketing aspect, he'd be worth every dime.

Your Right,my Bad It Is Brett Bender
Wasn't Brett racing for Polaris? It would sound better with a Bender racing Yamahas.
