Newer secondary on older Exciter.

Can the newer style YVX secondary just bolt right onto the stock Exciter's splined shaft. (from 1995 +)

Exciter is a 93 SX.

I have a Polaris Primary clutch coming in, and would like to upgrade the secondary while I am at it.

You need a secondary from a 95 or 96 only, you will need a longer spacer as wellm as a longer bolt
 
800 is there anything you don't know?

What do you mean by spacer? All I have is a bunch of shims in there...?

the bolt which you use to hold the clutch on will have to be longer as well as the spacer that the bolt goes through, there is actually a part number for that conversion I think its in the 95 tech update book, but I'll have too look and see if I have that one, you can get a longer bolt and maybe you could use 2 or 1 1/2 of the stock spacer...............
