what's the horse power of a stock 00' mountain max 700? and if i get slp triple pipes, what jets, weights and springs do i need to get? and is there anything else i need to do.
stock hp is 111-114 depending on how well the motor was buildt to specs. On slp's web site they list the clutching and jetting spec's.
I found SLP's advice to be based on the flatlander in my elevation range. I ride 1500-4000 ft., stuck with the stock Y-W-Y primary spring, 8CR's, 14.5 mm rollers, with 3.6 grams in the inner and 2.4 in the outer. Stock 43 helix wrapped at 70 with the green spring. My gearing is 20/39 right now, #45 pliot jets, 1 3/4 turns out on the screws, needle in the 3rd clip with 147.5 straight across on the mains.
I have a slight over-rev on the lower range of my elevation, but it is spot on (8800) at around 3000ft. I rode all day this weekend and found the jetting "safe" at 1500 ft., 6 degrees F.
My motor has reed spacers and a peak head with 22cc domes, otherwise stock. The pipes are SLP quiets (not the stingers, not sure if that would matter). This is also with a 144" x 2" Camo. I am going to give it one more ride before I start to adjust from where I am right now in hopes of getting some more snow to try it out in some deeper stuff.
Hope this helps, Nate
