Does anyone know the actual horsepower of this sled?
I tried a drag against a 600 Cat and he left me by quite a bit!
Other than that it is a very reliable and comfortable machine.

what kind of cat F6? or like a zr or zrt? the sxr 600 has around 100hp stock the 700 is 112. a f6 is 125 stock and 25 lbs lighter dry. not sure of the otehr sled but my 700 sxr piped is having truble keepin up to my budies f6. do teh head gasket and reed stoper notch mod in the tech pages adn ask turk about ur clutchin. along with some adjustible transfer rods u may be able to beat a zr or zrt 600.

600 horsepower

thanks,
it was a '04 600 friecat efi?
and it really flew off the blocks and left me 50 yrds back!
Oh well mine never breaks down like the cats, so I stay back but keep on going:)

thanks for the info

Every 600 triple I've come across over revs like crazy! They should turn about 85-8600, and most get up to 9100.

Look in the user's clutch set ups and check out GANZSXR's set up, I helped him get it together, and he raved about it! It cured the over rev, and he gained about 10 sled lengths racing a test mule sled.

Good luck!

I've got 113 mph on a long, hard pack stretch of road with Aaens and under-reving about 3-500 rpm with an M-10 1.25" track, two layers of headgasket. I would guess it is maybe about 100 mph on radar so far... I just don't want to find out how fast it really was, because the only way for me would be red and blue lights flashing behind me. lol

i got that on 1000ft on ice on radar too with reed spacers and stock can mod...i'm sure that triple pipes and head gasket mod would really wake it up

I'd be happy if my viper did that...

Reed stopper notch, head gasket mod, and silencer mod are all very reliable and add very noticeable snap. And VMJ is right, those things overrev HORRIBLE in stock form, definately benefit greatly from some better clutching. You can pretty much load up those stock weights and get a 51/43 or so with a green spring. Fine tune for 8500-8600 and she will fly.
