Preload on Front Shocks

We are currently working on an 02 Viper and would like to know if the preload on the shocks is set with the wieght of the sled on them or is preload set with the shock removed and on the bench. The service manual gives the spring length but does not indicate loaded or unload.

Loaded, but if they are updated soft shocks, you will need more. Maxdlx

The shocks should be Handled by an expert , walk down the street and come into the shop . We'll snap a cold one and fix ..
