I rode my sx 700 a few weeks ago in about a three inch snow. I drove it about two miles and it was overheating. I brought it home drained the antifreeze, installed new and bled the air out of the system. I tested the sending unit and it tested ok. I left it run outside the shop for about 30 minutes and it was running hot again. I tore into the water pump to check the impeller. It was missing one fin. I replaced the impeller and seal to rule that out. I replaced the headgaskets to be on the safe side. I thought maybee the broken fin was lodged in pone of the heat exchangers so I put a vacuum cleaner on each exchanger and pulled a vacuum on both sides of each exchanger. found nothing. When the temp light comes on the head temp is about 210 degrees. The top hose temp is about 165 degrees. Getting frustrated. Supuse to go riding in the U P later this week. Does anyone have any input?
